HBO Television Special John Adams

February 2007, I had the privilege of working with acclaimed metalsmith, Susan Adams, in creating a necklace for the HBO miniseries John Adams.
It is a replica that John Adams gave to Abigail and is now in a museum in Massachusetts. The actual piece is a scrimshaw (carved ivory) centerpiece under glass with a gold setting and chain. Our new collaborative piece is also set in gold plated sterling silver, but since the use of ivory is now forbidden, polymer clay can accomplish the desired result.
