Angie Wiggins obtained her BFA in fine crafts from James Madison University and has been an artist for over 30 years. Over those years, she has taken workshops in many different media from internationally known craftspeople such as Kathleen Dustin, Celie Fago, Tim McCreight, Layne Goldsmith, Robert Dancik,and Gwen Gibson. With all that wealth of influence, Angie herself has taught workshops at the Virginia Museum and at the Handworkshop (now known as the Visual Arts Center). Both are located in Richmond, Virginia. She also has been an artist in residence at various high schools and elementary schools. From 1998-2000, Angie received a grant to teach throughout Virginia at various high schools.

During her career as an artist, Angie has shown her work in galleries and museums, made holiday ornaments for the White House and Virginia Governor's mansion, has run her own gallery in New Orleans, and has participated in regional juried craft shows. Her art work has been published in several books including Creating with Polymer Clay, 400 Polymer Clay Designs, and The Art of Jewelry: Polymer Clay,as well as in various magazines.

Angie is a member of the American Craft Council, the Precious Metal Clay Guild, the Polymer Clay Guild, and the Artisans Center Of Virginia. Angie lives in Powhatan, Virginia with her husband Donnie Caffery and their dog Brisco McGee. She enjoys gardening, cooking, great company, and hiking out West.
